Finding the Best Text for Your Course is Easy!

Guilford provides free professor copies (also known as inspection copies, evaluation copies, examination or exam copies, desk copies, and review copies) to college and university instructors in the U.S. and Canada for course adoption consideration. Our professor copies are sustainably provided through the VitalSource Faculty Sampling Program for quick, convenient access.

Already Decided to Adopt?

Wonderful! The digital professor copy is your desk copy and remains yours to keep for one year. If you need an extension beyond one year of access, please contact us for assistance.

Ancillary Teaching Materials

Several Guilford texts include access to an Instructor's Manual and/or Test Bank prepared by the author. Many other Guilford titles have companion websites with ancillary materials that may be useful in teaching and/or clinical practice, such as datasets, slides, reproducible handouts and forms, study guides, and audiovisual resources. The description of each book on its product page includes information about any supplementary materials available for the title.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do some books not have a professor copy link?

While the majority of our books are available as free professor copies, some of our books are not compatible with VitalSource’s Faculty Sampling Program. If you’ve found a book you feel is perfect for your course without a professor copy link, please contact us for assistance.

What are the usage rights for Guilford professor copies?

These e-books come with certain restrictions (also known as DRM or Digital Rights Management) for the protection of copyrights. When you access a digital professor copy from VitalSource, you have the right to access the text on up to 2 devices under the same account.

How do I request permission for a coursepack?

All requests for print or electronic course material must be submitted through the Copyright Clearance Center. Many kinds of permissions can be cleared in real time right on their website. For questions, you may visit our Permissions page, but please note, obtaining your permission directly from us rather than via the CCC will take considerably longer.

For other permissions questions, visit our Permissions page.
