 | Sylvie NaarSylvie Naar, PhD, is Distinguished Endowed Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine at the Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine. She is Founding Director of FSU's Center for Translational Behavioral Science and Director of the Clinical and Translational Science Award. Trained as a pediatric health psychologist, Dr. Naar has conducted behavioral health disparity research with adolescents and emerging adults since the 1990s, has led several research projects on community implementation of motivational interviewing (MI) tailored for adolescents and emerging adults, and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
